Court Grants Final Settlement Approval in Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. Wage Litigation

On March 26, 2018, the Court granted final approval of the settlement reached in James S. Murphy, et al. v. Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc., Case No. 1:15-cv-0120-JAR, pending in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri. In granting this approval, the Court held that the settlement was fair and reasonable, thus allowing funds to be disbursed for claims of workers at its Piedmont, Missouri facility for time spent donning and doffing equipment, and performing activities such as sanitizing and walking to the production-line floor.
